iPhone, mp3 to ringtone
Sick and tired of to "marimba" your iPhone?
No problem!
In " Parufito "sent us a suggestion posted on his blog of how to turn and go, very simply, an mp3 audio file of up to 30 seconds duration in a format that iPhone understands as ringtone (ringtone), ie m4r.
I tried it and it works.

You can also make files with more than 30 seconds, I'd say the maximum is 40 seconds long.
If you have a song in itunes (suposu that the iTunes Store do not owe to do) and want a piece of it as possi-topic for a ringtone, click the right mouse button, works the "get info" and the "options" choose between the start and end where the theme is played. (Maximum of 40 seconds)
Once done, must be exported in AAC format and follow the steps in the Parys 4 of Parufito
You can also make an audio editor but so is everything in the itunes ...
Thanks to Mañosa
Note the post to try and see if this method can also be reached 40 seconds!
Cheers!
tb, you can do with GarageBand, drag Any song, seleccineu share, send ringtone to itunes, adjust the duration and the time where you started and ready q, appears in the itunes ringtones section, ready to fly, from the 27 llogicamnet May I live the life
The issue of GarageBand, I have not seen it.
Fortunately or unfortunately I work in Linux and things to do with the iPhone I have to pull out and I have no Windows software. indeed whether or not the free GarageBand this.
The grace of this method that can be 100% free tools (except for iTunes, but at least it is free)
@ Parufito the GarageBand is an Apple software (within the iLife package) that works only under Mac OS X. And no, everything is free and comes included in the price of buying a new mac.
Like everything in life, you can find copies of iLife on stream, but will not work without a mac.
For Linux there I think Audacity (equivalent to GarageBand in functionality) but serves as mentioned in the article.
@ Thomas, @ Parufito.
Correction: No OSX will not do anything.
PS: osX86 + [VBox / VMware / parrallels for win / lin] = An alternative suitable only for powerful machines.
Luck!
I did exactly as Thomas says, cut mp3 with Audacity and then go to windows and follow the process that comment.
M'implica a reboot ... but go to the summary:
- Audio editing software
- ITunes (Win or Mac) and pulling on it, native or VMware or other virtual machine
@ Parufito, I just tried the Audacity, and not once. We have yet to try more calmly. The service I'm already GarageBand on Mac
