DoubleTwist: An alternative to iTunes

doubletwist synchronization

Not everyone has an iPhone or an iPod and therefore has low or no dependence on iTunes.

If you have a PSP, an Android phone, a BlackBerry or even a Kindle and want to sync with your Mac ( or PC ) you can be useful this free application: DoubleTwist .

The company that is behind DoubleTwist was established in Norway, but now has headquarters in San Francisco, and the origin of the application was intended to create a software to synchronize with handheld devices that were disengaged from their own brand of each device.

DoubleTwist banda works in iTunes (but fits perfectly with that in the event that you use, without causing any duplication) synchronizing music, videos and photos with a long list of supported devices .

If you connect to the iTunes Store Apple Store, DoubleTwist connects you to Amazon MP3 Store if you want to make a purchase.

The first step once installed the application is registered. It's a free process that requires confirmation by email.

DoubleTwist lets you share photos on Flickr, Facebook and email and films on YouTube and email.

Particularly noteworthy is the good and simple integration with the Mac OS X address book when sending photos or movies by email.

As a major advantage the ability to synchronize the music in a wide range of devices and copy it to each other via "playlists", and disadvantages as that is an application consumes RAM and unreasonably not far from the performance of iTunes (or access to hundreds of thousands of podcasts).

Surely you can do more than one service.
