On the internet talking about the iPad
Invited by Vincent Partal in Ludo and Rai and Michael Labòria mossepalapoma of the BAC, we participated in the program of the internet radio Catalonia.
It was a pretty fun and relaxed conversation, where there was Martin Crespo, and that was quite monopolized by Ludo
how could it be otherwise.
You can listen to the audio program from the website Catradio or by subscribing to the podcast in iTunes

If something that I monopolize,
but not that long ago that I had missed classes and on the podcast recording ... Oh, and do it there in ten Rai who chatted
The experience was very interesting and entertaining conversation.
Marc, do not worry, I laugh a lot and was very entertaining.
Grace has made me listen to you only as a listener
How quiet do not have to host or moderate or follow a script
What pleasure is not having control of 6 people, music, brother, participants, MTU's, waves and blackboards with lists
.
He was cool (I was surrounded by Fanboys).
Hello
I liked your speech very healthy. Congratulations! I have a good time.
Goodbye
Hello!
Thanks for the link to the internet program! The just heard and was very interesting. Has emerged, however, a question I wanted to share with you. When you were wondering who that reads three hours a day, I come to the mind the following groups: students (especially college) and teachers, and journalists too. That is, people whose daily work has to read widely, basically, that every day there are more. I'm in one of them (I'm in the final stages of a PhD in sociolinguistics) and come after me the following question: could be that at some near future are likely to highlight text on a screen and program and take you to create a document that you've highlighted, regardless of where either (a pdf, word, internet, ...)? Or you can simply save the document in question with underscores?
Sure it can be done now with the typical "cut and paste", but it is still too manual, right? However if you could take the iPad, for example, and while you're reading what is on the internet or iBooks, and outlining what you care about most and at the end you could say "now all this take-m ' and it puts me in an order, "I think it would be great. If nothing else, the researchers, we always like to stay with the essence of what we read, would be most helpful to our work. In one corner (can not remember where or how or when, unfortunately) seemed to hear or read some of these ebooks that already have this option, but well, since I do not see that very clear.
I do not know how realistic sounds, or if it is working. You see, I have both on the computer as an aeronautical engineer, that is, anything, but I'm interested in this very world, especially the Mac. Sure there are probably other issues come out of funds very important, such as copyright protection, which I think is something with Google Books has started dating, I'm not sure (correct me, so if it does not). But used with ethics and responsibility, I repeat, I think it would be a very good tool.
Anyway, thanks for the program, the blog and all the information you submit. We will follow.
See you soon.
Thank you Joe for us to read, listen to and participate mainly by leaving comments
Actually within the area of education where the iPad can have a tour interesting.
I am convinced that Apple sees it and I do not think long before, when it begins to be on sale in the United States to see news on Apple, which has much more presence here than in education, closing agreements with major Colleges and Universities .
In fact, for internal information that we know that Apple is doing also focus on education outside the United States.
Thanks for your comment Joe.
). For me the solution pass through a combined use of iPad, iTunes on mabook) and a workflow in Automator to Papyre.
I share your opinion (although I'm a little infomrati quer aeronautical engineer
Ein? Let me explain.
The iPad is an ideal device for "skimming" - ie flick - the Kindle, Papy and the like are too slow to browse, for example a newspaper or book, but the iPad is perfect for browsing.
Personally my approach to books and magazines is a process of browsing, followed by periods of intensive sequential reading of selected pieces. Only this process saves s'en novels. The remaining material was well.
I can browse the iPad, surely there will be a mechanism of markers and / or comments to estrelletes etc.. This is synchronized with iTunes. And ... I have you here! to travñes of Automator could export the parts labeled and selected to PDF and copy it to the SD Papyre ... and there do intensive reading.
If one day I can close the workflow screencast and a promise to publish the code de'Applescript.
Thanks for the comment-response, Ludo. We expect to have the iPad, then, and see what order. Look to see if I can give it to me by my holy (19 March) that probably still will fail, but hey, it is worth waiting a few more setmanetes!
Until now!
